When I've first heard about repeatable quest I thought they were very strong, and you can build your strategy around them.Right now I'm sitting in HMA because the supplies buildings are very small (2x3). And I'm working towards chateau frontenac blueprints (I'll get the goods with the help of a guildmate).I am doing the quests of 'producing potasium nitrate' and 'pay 8k coins + supplies'. With my 60 alchemist I manage to complete 46.56 daily quests (a bit more thanks to reinvesting my coins/supply rewards into more 'pay x' quest, but that's difficult to day).I would like to know if there is a better age to sit on, for the whole purpose of maximizing the number of repeatable quest per day.A guildmate told me about bonus quest, that they function as a 'second storyline' and when you complete them they also give you repeatable quest.
So you could have 2 repeatable quest at once, and complete both of them at the same time. Is this true? How it works exactly? Is there any source of accurante and complete data about repeatable quest in different ages? I've googled for quite some time, but I can't find anything (and surprisinly the wiki have info about all sort of quests except for those). The info I want to know the most is how much x is in the 'pay x quests', how many coins/supplies you get, and in the case of production buildings, when does the jump from 2 24h productions to 4 24h productions starts. For example, in HMA the pay quests are 8k/8k, the coins/supplies reward can be 3k or 6k (it's random), and you only need 2 potasium nitrate to complete them. Thanks in advance to anyone answering!. I'm not very far yet (early HMA,) but it seems Bronze Age (Blacksmith) and HMA (Alchemist) are the best ages for repeating quests and leveling GBs so far.
Dec 06, 2014 So, if you really really really want to stay in ONE age and never advance that's somewhat impossible, but you can enter an age, then skip -ALL- the quests for that age until you end up in the looping quest cycle, which will allow you several techs leeway for. Sep 09, 2018 Recurring quests are ones that happen between and after the story quests. You can have none, one, or two recurring quests available at any given time (depending on your age and progress in tech tree). To acquire access to recurring quests you need.
45 alchemists is quite impressive, do you have any GBs, goods, or military? I have 22 atm with all expansions other than diamond unlocked, but have goods/4 GBs (SoZ, ToB, LoA, HS), one of each EMA goods as I haven't unlocked HMA yet, and full EMA army but with 2 berserkers for light. There is a thread on the FoE forums I have been using as my guide, he recommends doing it how you mention with daily quests and packing as many supply buildings in you can with little to no goods/military and very selective on GBs.
He also says not to park in certain age and instead try to progress to get better supplies, GBs, and fps. Here it is, it is active and up to date:. Edit: I've finished reading the guide and asked some questions.
The guide is very informative, but I don't think I'll follow it to the letter, there are better options imo.First of all, thanks for that guide link, I'll have a deeper look when I have time. Now I'll share my opinion onto the topics you mention:At first bronze age seems a good candidate to park on. Smallest buildings, very low age (so your neighbours lvl your GB) and you can also get 4-5 quest from coins production. However it has several downsides such as being a small city and having low returns on the pay x quests. But there are 2 big issues that made it a no-go (for me). You can't contribute to other people GB and join guild expeditions in bronze age.To my current knowledge of the game, HMA is the best era, but I don't have that much intel about more advanced eras.
Thankfully someone just starting putting it together here: In addition to being able to do lots of quest, with some independent rogues + negotiating I'm at 56/64 at the guild expedition (tabern negotiation boost is a must by the end). I won't make it further than that thought, I've run out of goods. My 'secret' to having so many alchemist (now I'm at 68) is being very selective on the buildings I have.Don't have any goods buildings, the quests will provide enough goods for you to progress (trade current era goods for lower era ones).Have as little military buildings as posible. I have a rogue hideout as my only military building, the rest are independent units that I gained in expeditions. You must be very conservative with independent rogues if you do this (I surrender any encounter if I expect to lose any rogue, and also remake them when the terrain layout is bad).Minimise housing (don't have people unemployed) and also minimise roads. And the last 'trick' is being very selective on your GB too. Pick carefully what you want, and don't have many GB at low lvls, get the ones you want at lvl 10 or higher.I only have zeus (lvl 8) because its ultra small size. And I'm aiming to get frontenac BP, my guild will help me with materials. Frontenac has a triple purpose in my strategy.
Firstly, it improves the output of quest (obvious). Secondly, by improving quest rewards you can get additional pay x quest. And lastly: my production is very unbalanced towards supplies, so frontenac will give me all the coins I need.I'll reply with more info after reading the guide. UBQ, 'Pay the Jester', or 'Pay Rinbin'Rinbin the Jester is the specific quest giver who always gives us the recurring quest named: 'Unbirthday Party'; the quest asks us to: 'Pay M Coins + Pay N Supplies'. I use “UBQ” as shorthand for 'UnBirthday Party Quest', instead of 'UBP', because pronouncing 'you-bee-cue' aloud in English sounds much better and rolls off the tongue easier. I often use 'UBQ' both as a noun (to mean the quest itself) or as a verb (to mean complete this specific quest). It just cuts down on a lot of typing in Guild Chat.Took me 2 sec to find it, its the second serach result to ubq in that guide.
This is what is called 'looping' in FoE terminology. There are ages that looping can greatly pay off in. For instance, BA is a great place to loop blacksmiths. The aim in BA is to get a Tower of Babel (GB) and level it to around 6-7. That will decrease the amount of houses needed in order to add more blacksmiths. The 24 hr loop is the best to loop. You set your say, 28 blacksmiths, to each produce a helmet.
Once it's time to collect you will have the chance to win things like medium forge point packs (5 forge points) medals goods etc. Medals will allow you to expand your territory allowing for more housing or blacksmiths. Looping can be done in every age but the best ages to loops in are Bronze Age with the blacksmiths, Iron Age with the Butchers, High Middle Ages with the alchemists, and Colonial Age with the clockmakers. This is what a loop looks like in percentages:6% Diamonds/medals (diamonds can be earned once, after that, medals takes its place in the loot table)6% 5 forge point pack8% Blueprints30% Goods10% Large coins10% Large supplies15% Small coins15% small suppliesWatch out for the Unbirthday Quest. It can greatly diminish your supply of coin or goods. In theory you want them to be about even.
